What is a Lenticular Card?

Lenticular cards are a category of collectible on VeVe based on real world plastic cards that change in appearance based on the angle they are viewed from.

Usage:

Disney just dropped a set of lenticular cards featuring Minnie Mouse and Goofy!

Full Definition:

Lenticular cards are plastic cards whcih are made up of different layers and elevations, which makes their appearance change based on what angle they are viewed from.

Lenticular printing can be used to create flat plastic cards that have the illusion of depth, that appear animated, or just completely change in appearance based on how it is viewed.

Colloquially, lenticular cards have been referred to as “flickers”, “winkies”, “wiggle pictures” and “tilt cards”.

Lenticular cards were first introduced into VeVe on January 29th, 2022 as part of the Mickey and Friends NFT collection, with first appearances by icnoic characters such as Goofy, Pluto, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Minnie Mouse.

The collection served as a new category of collectibles in VeVe apart from existing comics, figurines, stamps and posters.
